Nobody should ever leave this place unhappy. The exciting spin on Spanish tapas, the ritzy location, the patrons dressed to the nines. It’s a wonderful place for a date and an even more wonderful place to bring your family.
We dined at The Bazaar on our last night together before N had to jet back to Dubai and I Vancouver. Awestruck by the photos posted online, I knew I was in for a treat. Our trip to Spain last May had left a permanent impression on us so I think N was pretty excited about it too.
Highlights: The Tortilla de Patatas, which is a deconstructed version of the Spanish omelette and ABSOLUTELY exquisite; the Croquetas de Pollo (chicken croquettes) transported us back to Barcelona, definitely not a dish to be missed; and, the Wild Mushroom Rice, which was creamy, earthy and came in just the right amount as to not make us feel overly full.
Letdowns: The seared scallops were bland, the romesco sauce left a weird aftertaste in our mouths. Pass this and order the Seared Chicken with honey dates instead!
Edit: I came back with Mom in April 2017 and found some new favourites. Click for all the delectable details! 😉
